Premier Division supported by Sportsform Just two games were to beat the rain and for fifth place Sharnbrook it was a 1-0 home win over fourth place Biggleswade FC Reserves thanks to a goal from Bradley Raines.. Whilst Riseley Sports are now unbeaten in their last four away outings after a 90th minute winner from Sonny Newton Cootes took them to a 4-3 victory at Flitwick Town. Their earlier goals coming from Alex Taylor, Mitch Crook and Alex Tayler against Town replies via Dan Stafford with a brace and Brad Johnson. The games AFC Kempston Town Hammers v AFC Oakley : Barton Rovers Reserves v Elstow Abbey : Crawley Green Reserves v Biggleswade United Reserves and Shefford Town & Campton Reserves v Queens Park Crescents all being postponed. Whilst Marston Shelton Rovers gifted the three points to Stotfold Development after failing to raise a side to travel to Roker Park. Elsewhere in a Bedfordshire FA Senior Trophy Second Round tie, Caldecote were beaten 0-2 at home by Leighton Town Reserves. Division One Lea Sports PSG are now back onto the top of the Division One standings after they retained their season's unbeaten away ways with a 3-0 victory at AFC Oakley Reserves thanks to goals from Kian Devers, Cam Davies and Sean Dixon. Taking over the top spot from Tottternoe Reserves who lost their 100& away record and 10 game winning run when held to a 3-3 at Buffs FC. Joe Jenkin with a brace and Jack Bendon marking the home scoresheet against Tott's replies via Ciaran Newton, Callum Horgan and Matthew Gordon. For third place Renhold it was win number five on the bounce 5-0 at Bedford Town Under 23's.. Reece Baker, Ben Brown. Sege Kadji, Dan Thomas and Ollie Housden all finding the back of the net to bring up the nap hand. Whilst fifth place Cranfield United Reserves were 4-0 home winners over Kempston Rovers Academy U23's. Ryan Mellor with a hat-trick and a single goal from Jordan Conway doing the damage. Elsewhere, Wootton Blue Cross were also enjoying life on the road with a 6-2 victory at Bedford Albion. Joe Holmes, Joe Bygraves, Jerome Lowe, Niall Jones, Jack Marshall and Jordan West all netting once each against Albion replies via Paul Babbington and Marko Todbzic. Whilst the Lewsey Park v MK Dons Set U19's was postponed. Bedfordshire FA Intermediate Cup Quarter Finals Sporting Carpathians duly made their way into the last four with a 3-2 victory at Clifton with goals from Jordan Thomas, Michael Opoku and an own goal against home replies via Jensen Martin and Elliot Powell. The Henlow v AFC Development and Bedford SA v Harlington Juniors ties being postponed. Division Two supported by Hy-Pro Just two games were to beat the weather seeing FC Haynes take their unbeaten ways to seven games and move into sixth place in the league standings with a 2-0 home win over Brache Phoenix with goals from Daniel Parker and Jamie Warne. Whilst Shefford Town & Campton Development have now lost their last eight games after being beaten 2-5 at home by Stopsley United whose goals came from Emmanuel Oyegoke, Sean Kinsella, Kemzi Elenwo plus two own goals against Town replies via Ryan Dobson and William Lambley. The games Westoning Recreation v AFC Kempston Town Hammers Reserves and Wootton Blue Cross Reserves v Wilstead being postponed. Division Three supported by Hy-Pro In the lone game to beat the weather Ickwell & OLd Warden took themselves back onto the top of the league standings in chalking up their sixth straight victory with a 6-1 win over FC Haynes Reserves. Lee Threadgold leading the way with a hat-trick, Jack Fox netting twice and Luke Gurney once against a lone reply from Harry Mabbitt for the visitors. The Caddington v M&DH Clapham Sports and Newham United v Atletico Europa games being postponed. Herts FA Junior Cup Lea Sports PSG Reserves had only a goal from Louie Grant to show from their 4-1 defeat at Chorleywood Common. Bedfordshire FA Junior Cup Quarter Finals With a lone goal from Sam Ricketts, Stotfold Junior were the 1-0 home winners over Kempston Rovers BCFL to earn them a last four tie at Sporting Carpathians Reserves who with goals from Andrew Francois with a brace and single goals from Shaka Tavernier -Maddix and Tyrone Midson won 4-1 at Elstow Abbey Reserves. For Sandy following their 5-3 home win over FC Polonia ( Luton ) it will be a last four home tie against Sharnbrook Reserves. It was the visitors who took the lead in the 15th minute via Syiwester Kraska before Adam Clark levelled things up for the home side just three minutes later who were then to go 2-1 in the 36th minute via Amin Ibrahim before Tony Norman struck just three minutes later to make the scoreline 3-1. Norman then had a great chance to increase the home sides lead right on the stoke of half-time but was to see his penalty well saved by Polonia's goalkeeper Piitr Warzocha whose side were now down to 10 men after Grzegorz Smas was red carded in conceding the spot kick. However, within five minutes of the restart he made amends by netting to make it 4-1 to looking to put the tie beyond the visitors, but with goals from Mateusz Antoniun and Pawel Seliga within the next 10 minutes it was game back on at 4-3 until Norman completed his hat-trick in the 70th minute to bring up the final 5-3 scoreline. For Sharnbrook Reserves it was goals from Nathan O'Halloran and Jason Hurley to see them to a 2-1 victory at Luton Panthers for whom Kamran Kahn replied. Division Four With league leaders Luton Panthers away on Beds FA cup duty Blunham missed the chance to move back onto the top of the league standings when held to a 1-1 draw at Leighton Woodside. George Somerfield on the home scoresheet and Robbie Richmond netting for Blunham. The biggest winners of the day were Bedford Wanderers who returned to winning ways on the road by winning 8-1 at the bottom of the table Revivalists. Luke Foster netting four times and joined on the Wanderers scoresheet by single goals from Connor Steels, Lewis Pitcairn, Ryan Malone, and Melvin Whalley. Whilst also enjoying life on the road were Flitwick Town A who with a lone goal from Ben Shaw won 1-0 at Kempston Athletic. Elsewhere, Harlington Juniors Reserves are now up into third place in the league standings and now unbeaten in their last six outings following their 3-2 home victory over Caldecote U23's in a game switched and played at Harvey Close. Eddie Prior, Daniel Jump and Cody O'neill netting the Juniors goals against a brace in reply from Max Plunkett. The M&DH Clapham Sports Reserves v CS Rovers and Marston Shelton Rovers Reserves games being postponed. |
