Premier Division supported by Sportsform With Caldecote away on Bedfordshire FA Senior Trophy duty the leadership of the Premier Division supported by Sportsform league table is now in the hands of Stotfold Development who now lead the standings by two points albeit having played three games more than the boys from Harvey Close after they chalked up home win number five on the bounce in beating Marston Shelton Rovers 5-0. Harry Buckle, Billy Little, Charlie Mallett, Ashley Kersey and a penalty from Josh Bamford bringing up the nap hand. Returning to winning ways on home soil for the first time in five outings were Sharnbook where goals from Finlay Box, Charlie Hurley, Joe Ackroyd and Josh Griggs took them to a 4-3 victory over Biggleswade FC Reserves, whose goals came from Rafael Miles with a brace plus David Lenton. However, for Biggleswade United Reserves it was a 2-1 victory at AFC Oakley thanks to goals from Nathan Mccalla and Alex Maxwell against a lone home reply via Bill Cox. The frozen ground saw the games Queens Park Crescents v Shefford Town & Calmpton Reserves and Riseley Sports v AFC Kempston Town Hammers postponed. Bedfordshire FA Senior Trophy Quarter-Finals Caldecote are now into the last four draw following their 4-2 home victory over South Midlands League side Ampthill Town. Giuseppe Follano with a brace plus goals from Rafe Goodman and Tashriq Andrews marking their scoresheet. The games Flitwick Town v Elstow Abbey and The 61 FC Luton v Crawley Green Reserves being postponed. Division One Wootton Blue Cross are now 10 points clear at the head of the league table after retaining their seasons unbeaten ways with a 4-0 home victory over Lewsey Park. Keaton Marsh with a brace and goals from Mason Mason and James Campbell doing the damage. Whilst AFC Oakley Development missed the chance to climb the table into third spot when defeated 1-0 at Henlow. Colin Marshall on the home scoresheet to do the damage. Postponed were the games Bedford Albion v Bedford SA and Totternhoe Reserves v Cranfield United Reserves. Bedfordshire FA Intermediate Cup Third Round It was the end of the cup road for Harlington Juniors who had just a Tyler Ingham penalty to show for their 6-1 defeat at Kempston Rovers Reserves whose goals came via braces for Wayne Mubayi, Benjamin Sinclair and Rafel Milosz Wiedlad. Division Two North Wilstead are now just two points clear at the head of the league standings after being held to a 0-0 draw at Wootton Blue Cross Reserves. Now in second spot with a game in hand on the league leaders are AFC Bedford United who won 3-1 at Sandy. Antonio Filmarino, Andrew Sinclair and Gary Townsend all found the back of the net against a lone home reply from Samir Dima. Missing out on the chance to go second were Caldecote Reserves who lost their seasons unbeaten home ways when defeated 3-0 by Kempston United who were extending their own unbeaten ways to five games thanks to a brace of goals from Elijah Haynes and a strike from Ashton Joyce. Postponed were the games AFC Kempston Town Hammers Reserves v Ickwell & Old Warden, Bange Rouge v Shefford Town & Campton Development and M&DH Clapham Sports v Blunham. Division Two South In retaining their seasons 100% home record and seasons unbeaten ways Stopsley United now head the Division Two South standings by seven points after beating FC Haynes 3-0 with goals from Connor Waite, Samuel John Willett and Reecon Wiltshire . Whilst second place Sporting Carpathians were beaten 0-2 at home by Lea Sports PSG whose goals came from Joe Hennem and Liam Doyle. Also enjoying life on the road were now fifth place New Bradwell St Peter Deveopment with a 4-0 victory at Flitwick Town Reserves. Doneil Mahanzu netted twice alongside single goals from Connor Forman and Ted Brown. Whilst top scorers of the day were Bletchley Scot 6-2 at FC Polonia (Luton ) who are now on a 12 game losing run. Ben Swepston bagged four goals to go alongside single strikes from Dake Found and Dean Reed with only Mateusz Antonium replying for the home side. Postponed were the games Brache Phoenix v The 61 FC Luton Reserves, Caddington v Lu Donz and Westoning Recreation v Stotfold Juniors. Division Three supported by Hy-Pro The lone game of the day saw league leaders Harlington Juniors Reserves draw 3-3 at home with second place Caldecote A who remain two points adrift but having also played two games more. James Fletcher from the penalty spot plus Taylor Clayton and Eddie Prior finding the back of the net for the home side against replies from Ryan Dobson twice and Lee Hunt once for the visitors. The Elstow Abbey Reserves v Leighton Woodside Rovers game frozen off. Division Four There was also a top two encounter in Division Four which went the way of league leaders Kempston Athletic 8-2 at home over Atletic FC who now trail them by eight points albeit having played one game fewer. Lance Jeffers with a hat-trick, Alexander Wasilewski with a brace plus single goals from William Manser, Kristain Marciano and Kieran Carrington only being replied to twice by Moydean Banda and Serge Kadji for the visitors. The Meltis Rangers v Dunstable Wanderers and Turvey v Catsbrook Wanderers games being postponed. Watson Shield Round One Ampthill Town Colts in winning 3-1 at Leighton Woodside Athletic will now entertain either Clifton Reserves or Flitwick Town A in round two whose game was frozen off. Murray Gray with a brace plus Marcus Sugrue on the Town scoresheet against a lone Athletic reply from Andrew Puddifoot. Postponed were the games, CS Rovers v Warden AFC U18 and Shefford Town & Campton U23 v Inspire Athletic U18 Academy. |
