Biggleswade FC Reserves collect the first trophy of the season. |
Supplementary Cup A Final Biggleswade FC Reserves claimed the first trophy of the season with a penalty shoot-out win over Cranfield United. it was United who took the lead via a Courtney Boughton penalty and then go 2-0 ahead with a strike from Josh Sturniolo before a Kian Coles penalty reduced the arrears to 2-1 then in the 89th minute Jack Dreyer made it 2-2 to send the game into a penalty shoot-out which Biggleswade won 4-2 thanks to successful spot kicks from Daniel Bond, Kian Coles, Hayden Barker and Oscar Smith against United goals via Henry Mungwira and Courtney Boughton. Supplementary Cup B Semi-Finals Eaton Park Rangers claimed their place in next weekends final with a 2-1 home victory over Ampthill Town Development. Ryan Vale shooting them ahead from the penalty spot in the 11th minute, a lead they held until 11 minutes from time when Town's Callum Wright levelled matters up only for Rangers Lewis Davis to head the winning goal deep into time added on. They will now face a final tie against Sharnbrook who required a penalty shoot-out win to gain victory at Lea Sports PSG. Sharnbrook with a brace of goals from Tom O'Neil going two goals up before second half strikes from Milton Tomlinson-Dennis and James Haughney saw 90 minutes arrive with a 2-2 scoreline. The shoot-out going 3-2 in favour of Sharnbrook with successful kicks from Rory Watkinson, Harry Molyneaux and Harry Chinn against PSG replies from Ryan Darby and Rob Hennem. Supplementary Cup C Semi-Finals Crawley Green U23 duly made their way into next weekends final with a 3-1 home victory over Brickhill Wanderers. Luke Andrews, Sarhan Dogrhuer and Dan Docherty netting their goals against a lone Wanderers reply via Simeon Horne. They will now face Real Haynes in next weekends final after they beat AFC Bedford United 2-0 with first half goals from Josh Pearson and Sam Kelly. Supplementary Cup D Semi-Finals Elstow Abbey Reserves despite trailing at half-time to a Ben Worbey penalty claimed their place in next weekends final when goals from Scott Alleyne and Marko Tobdzic took them to a 2-1 victory at Real Haynes Reserves. They will now face Luton Allstars in the final who came through via a 3-0 penalty shoot-out win at Sharnbrook Reserves after 90 minutes play had saw the teams deadlocked at 2-2. Tom Horrell and Cormac McCann on the home scoresheet against Allstars replies from Tay Roberts and Troy Ottah before successful spot kicks from Alfie Gray, Emmanuel Oweridu and Derek Maruma won the day. |
