Totternoe Reserves Slip up at Henlow in their quest of the Division One title |
Premier Division supported by Sportsform Just three games to report upon and for third place Biggleswade FC Reserves it was a 3-0 away win at Riseley Sports. Joe Worboys netting two first half goals and Josh Roberts adding another in the second period. Whilst fourth place Stotfold Development were the 6-2 home winners over Shefford Town & Campton Reseerves, Ashley Kersey leading the way with a hat-trick, Callum Mullins netting twice and Keanu Fleming once against Town replies via Charlie Dee and Ayrron Armstrong. Elsewhere fifth place Crawley Green Reserves are now unbeaten in their last eight outings following their 3-0 home win over Sharnbrook. Guilian Lusumbya, Timmy Akerele and Jacob Younger all finding the back of the net. Whilst the Biggleswade United Reserves v Queens Park Crescents and AFC Kempston Town Hammers v Cranfield United games were postponed due to waterlogged pitches. Britannia Cup 1st Round With the Flitwick Town v AFC Oakley tie waterlogged off, league leaders Elstow Abbey kept their hopes alive of a league and cup double with a 4-1 home victory over Marston Shelton Rovers with goals from Westley Lewis, Juston Newman, Craig Damon and Steve Gentle against a lone Rovers reply from Harry Baker. Meantime, Caldecote were 3-1 home winners over Barton Rovers Reserves with goals from Rafe Goodman, Evan Beldon and Mattew Sayers against a lone Rovers reply via Alfie Barker. Division One Second place Totternoe Reserves failed to move to within three points of league leaders Lea Sports PSG after being held to a 1-1 draw at Henlow. On 33 minutes Totts James Ray saw his penalty saved by home goalkeeper Matt Odell before he made amends seven minutes later to give his side a 1-0 half-time lead. This remained the scoreline until 17 minutes from the end, when Rob Fitzgerald headed home on the back post to earn his side a share of the spoils. Down at the other end of the table Lewsey Park were 6-1 home winners over Bedford Town Under 23's. Chris Gibson with a hat-trick and single goals from Luke Lincoln, Liam Jarvis and Kyle Lincoln doing the damage against a Town reply via an own goal. Centenary Cup 1st Round The lone home winners of the afternoon were AFC Oakley Reserves who beat Kempston Rovers Academy 5-0. Neville Allen netting three times to go alongside single goals from Lewis Eday and Sam Phillips to bring up the nap hand. The other two games to beat the weather both went to the visitors by a 2-0 scoreline. Luke Hennessy and Kevin Jump scoring for Buffs FC at Renold and Leonardo Valentio Commino netting both Cranfield United Reserves goals at Wootton Blue Cross. The games called off being Bedford Albion v MK Dons Set Set 19's and Lea Sports PSG v Clifton. Jubilee Cup 1st Round The biggest winners of the day were Sporting Carpathians who were 9-1 home winners over AFC Kempston Town Hammers Reserves. Franklin Ojumubi netting four times, Petru Ciochina three times plus single goals coming the way of Jamie Nolan and Michael Brako against a lone Hammers reply from Joel Lockey. Whilst Stopsley United went nap with a 5-2 home victory over Shefford Town & Campton Development where Kelvin Chiranduke led the way with a hat-trick and being supported by single strikes from Emmanuel Ovegoke and Leslie Medford against Town replies via Ross Cook and Harry Smith. Also enjoying life on home soil were Wilstead the 4-0 winners over Caldecote Reserves with goals from Paul Jones, Max Natola, Ed Lamb and Joe Sullivan. Yet FC Haynes needed to go to a penalty shoot-out to see off Brache Phoenix after 90 minutes play had saw the sides deadlocked at 2-2. Dean Hill hitting both home goals and Garry King doing likewise for the Phoenix. The penalty hero was home goalkeeper Ben Fruscante who saved three times to see his side home 3-1.. Whilst Bedford SA will also being in the hat for the next round after being gifted the game after Flitwick Town Reserves failed to raise a side to jouney to meet them. The games AFC Bedford United v Westoning Recreation and Harlington Juniors v The 61 FC Luton Reserves failing to beat the weather. Division Three supported by Hy-Pro For fifth place FCPolonia ( Luton ) it was a 8-2 home victory over second from bottom of the table Elstow Abbey Reserves. their fourth home win on the bounce. Fabian Pawelec netting three times,Mateusz Antoniun twice alongside single goals from Przemyslaw Gorczyca, Barry Clarke and Lukasz Leja against Abbey replies from Matty Poulton and Inder Sucha. Whilst Sandy retained their season's unbeaten home ways in drawing 2-2 with FC Haynes Reserves. James Scott and Kyle Johanesson the home marksman against Haynes replies via Jack Vincent and Luke Bulhagier. Division Four Leighton Woodside are now up into fourth plave in the league standing and on a five game winning home run after goals from Alex Pearse and Theo Davision took them to a 2-1 win over M&DH Clapham Sports Reserves for whom Ashley Nelson replied. Whilst having lost their last 10 outings Sandy Reserves were the 4-1 away winners at bottom of the table Revivalists who are still in search of their first league point of the season 19 games into their campaign. Prince Asare with a hat-trick and Dan Saunders netting for Sandy against a lone home reply via Alessandro Guarino. Watson Shied 1st Round CS Rovers with two goals from Harrison Sheaf and single strikes from Dalitso Chibwe and Liam Fields were the 4-2 away winners at Bedfordshire Saturday Youth league Leighton Woodsise U18's Reds to earn a second round home tie against Elstow Abbey Reserves. Whilst Harlington Juniors Reserves reward for winning 3-2 at BSYL Milton Keynes Athletic U18's Cobras with two goals from Daniel Jupp and a strike from Harry Flavell will be a home second round tie against M&DH Clapham Sports Reserves. The home goals coming from Morini Dornelasand Reggie Carran. There was however a home win for BSYL Houghton Athletic U18's over Lea Sports PSG Reserves whose goal came via Sam Lodge. The Athletic will now host FC Haynes Reserves in round two. Whilst there were walk over wins for M&DH Clapham Sports against BSYL Bromham Youth AFC U18's to earn a trip to Sandy in round two and for Stotfold Junior over BSYL Bromham Youth U18 Tigers to see them now journey to FC Polinia ( Luton ) in round two. Watson Shield Round Two Top Scorers of the day were Blunham with a 7-3 home victory over BSYL Shefford Saints U18 Whites, Adrian Ferguson, Connor Heaps and Robbie Richardson all netting braces alongside a single goal from Ross Scotney.. Whilst Caldecote Under 23's with four goals from Riley Evans claimed a 4-1 home win over Meltis Rangers for whom Simon Wade netted. Also hitting four home goals were Kempston Rovers BCFL in beating Bedford Wanders 4-0. Junior Samuel with a brace and single strikes from Harvey Eagle and Elijah Haynes doing the damage.Whilst with two goals from Jack Fox and a single strike from Luke Gurney, Ickwell & Old Warden were the 3-0 home victors over Sharnbrook Reserves. Elsewhere, Kempston Athletic needed a 4-3 penalty shoot-out win over BSYL Wilstead Harriers U18's after 90 minutes of play had seen the sides deadlocked at 3-3. the Athletic goals coming from Lance Jeffers, Kristain Marciano and Josh Humphries. |
