2023 starts with a goal feast everywhere you look |
Premier Division supported by Sportsform There is no change at the head of the Premier Division supported by Sportsform standings following wins for the top three teams. Cranfield United holding onto their two points lead at the head of the table after a brace of goals from Luke Little took them to a 2-0 victory at Queens Park Crescents. Whilst second place Elstow Abbey who have played two games fewer notched up win number nine on the bounce to retain their seasons unbeaten ways with a 7-1 home win over AFC Kempston Town Hammers who are still in search of their first away point of the season. Dan Mattin and Craig Damon both netting twice alongside single goals for Scott Alleyne, Glen Tumulty and James Copley against a lone Hammers reply via Ellis Crowley. For third place Shefford Town & Campton Reserves it was win number five on the bounce with a 2-1 home victory over Flitwick Town with goals from Harry Lovely and Louie Dillon against a Town penalty reply via Phil Matthews. Yet the result of day belonged to Stotfold Development with a 5-1 victory at fifth place Sharnbrook. Harry Buckley, Callum Mullins, Jack Stanton, Joe Bennet and Kurtis Alleyne all finding the back of the net to bring up the nap hand against a lone home reply from Zav Ives. Caldecote are now unbeaten in their last five home outings after beating bottom of the table Barton Rovers Reserves 4-1. Giuseppe Follano shooting them ahead in the 13th minute before on the half-hour mark Alfie Barker drew the Rovers level only to see Follano gab his second of the day just before the break and then complete his hat-trick in the 66th minute all of which had been set up for him by Liam Beech, The home side adding to the tally from the penalty spot via Jake Bruce just five minutes from time. Also winning on home soil were Crawley Green Reserves with a 2-1 victory over AFC Oakley thanks to a strike from Dominic Horn and a Rob Newman penalty against a lone reply from Kyle Hawthorne, Whilst Biggleswade FC Reserves were gifted the three points after Marston Shelton Rovers following a management walk-out just 24 hours failing to raise a side to host them at Bedford Road. Division One With morning league leaders Lea Sports PSg having their game at AFC Oakley postponed they were to lose the top spot after Totternhoe Reserves notched up their tenth straight victory with a 3-2 home win over Buffs FC, James Ray netting twice and Farrell Whitman once against Buffs replies via Luke Hennessey and James Thompson. Now up into third spot are Renhold following their 5-4 home victory over Bedford Town Under 23's. Tyrell O'Connor and Reece Baker with braces plus a goal from Sege Kadji bringing up the nap hand against Town replies from Sam Moore with a hat-rick plus a single strike from Nat Sherriff. Dropping down the standings into fourth spot are Henlow who were beaten 3-0 at Wootton Blue Cross for whom Joe Bygraves netted twice and Niall Jones once.and now in fifth spot are Milton Keynes Dons Set U19's following their 3-2 home victory over Lewsey Park. Deslan Mehmetaj with a brace and a goal from Kingsley Bates doing the damage against a Park brace in reply from Owen Hearty. For Bedford Albion it was home win number one of the season with a 4-3 victory over the bottom of the table Kempston Rovers Academy u23's. Marko Todbzic, Jamie Hall, Paul Babbington and Keshawn Sergeon marking the Albion scoresheet against Rovers replies from Jaeden Pecco, Genesis Baah plus a penalty from Atem Bol. Elsewhere, Cranfield United Reserves returned to winning ways with a 2-1 home victory over Clifton thanks to a brace of goals from Ryan Mellor against a lone reply via matty Nugent for the visitors. Division Two supported by Hy-Pro . Westoning Recreation are now two points clear at the head of the Division Two supported by Hy-Pro standings after their 5-0 home win over morning second place Harlington Juniors. George Scott with a brace and single goals from Charlie Scott, Freddie Knight and James Sheridan sending the Juniors to their first away defeat of the season and dropping them into third place in the standings after Wootton Blue Cross Reserves climbed above them in chalking up their sixth away win on the bounce 3-2 at Wilstead with goals from Zach Baker, Keaton Marsh and Alan Henman against home strikes via Sam Evans and Asdul Rasul. Now in fourth spot are Bedford SA who retained their season's 100% away record in winning 4-2 at the 61 FC Luton Reserves. Ollie Raymond with a brace plus Jordan Farmer and Aaron Baxter- Chaplin on their scoresheet against home replies via Courtney Small and Kane Dempsey..Whilst sixth place AFC Bedford United were 2-0 winners at bottom of the table AFC Kempston Town Hammers with goals from Gary Townsend and Bartosz Kielbowicz. Also enjoying life on the road were FC Haynes who now sit in seventh place following their 3-2 victory at Brache Phoenix with goals from James Playford, Tyler Winter and Daniel Parker against home replies via Louis Hazel and Abdul Rasul. Just three points behind them in eighth spot are Stopsley United who were 3-2 home winners over Shefford Town & Campton Development who have now lost their last seven outings. Kemzi Elenwo, Ashleigh Lewis and Nthokozis Ncube on the home scoresheet against Town replies from Dos Santos Jesus and Ross Cook. Elsewhere, Caldecote Reserves returned to winning ways with a 3-1 home win over Flitwick Town Reserves. James Tubridy netting twice and Eddy Lungay once against a lone Town reply from Jack Hyland Knight. Division Three supported by Hy-Pro There is little change at the head of the Division Three supported by Hy-Pro standings following wins for the top three sides. League leaders Stotfold Juniors staying two points clear at the head of the table after a 4-1 home victory over Sandy. Jake Kirby, Jamie Saunders, Connor Humphries and Joseph Evans all finding the back of the net against a lone reply from Tony Norman. Whilst now in second spot are Ickwell & Old Warden who ran out 9-0 home winners over Elstow Abbey Reserves. Jordan Gurney leading the way with a hat-trick, Lee Threadgold and Luke Gurney netting twice each to go alongside single goals for Zak Robinson and Jack Fox. Dropping from second spot to third on goal difference only are Kempston Rovers BCFL who made it five wins on the bounce with an 8-6 home victory over Caddington. Satino Diniro and Martell Brome with braces joined on their scoresheet by an own goal plus strikes from Frank Touko, Mikolaj Grudziak and Benjamin Wazabanga whilst for the visitors Mark Reilly netted five times and Josh Edwards once. Whilst fourth place Sharnbrook Reserves saw their six game winning run ended when they were held to a 3-3 draw at FC Haynes Reserves. Charlie Hurley, Kieron Whitmore and Matas Navicas on their scoresheet against home replies via Luke Bulhagiar twice and Zac Anos once. For M&DH Clapham Sports it was a 5-3 away fixture at FC Polionia ( Luton ) Louie Lee with a brace plus single goals from Daniel Beddow, Andy Sims and Rhys Pemberton bringing up the nap hand against home replies from Fabien Pawelec, Sylwester Krasker and Mateusz Antonium. Also enjoying life on the road were Newman United in winning 4-2 at Lea Sports PSG Reserves with goals from Sam Woodman, Sean McMonagle, Daniel Grantham plus an own goal against PSG replies via Jack Goodhand and Ryan Bean. Elsewhere bottom of the table Atletico Europa picked up their first away point of the season and ended a seven game losing run when a brace of goals from Arkadius Szczepanski helped them to a 2-2 at Sporting Carpathians Reserves for whom Ryan O'Toole and Tau Roberts netted. Division Four We have new leaders of the Division Four table in the shape of Luton Panthers who chalked up their seventh straight victory in winning 6-1 at bottom of the table Revivalists. Devon Johnson with a brace plus single goals from Kamran Kahn, Liam Day, Amari Woodrow- Stuart and Quinten Barker marking their scoresheet against a lone home reply from Harold Stevens to take them two points clear of Blunham who lost their season's unbeaten record by losing 3-1 at Clifton Reserves. Chris Boulding giving Blunham a first half lead before goals in the second period from Jack Konopka twice and Ali Moatt once saw Clifton retain their season's 100% home record and climb the table into third spot. Losing out on that third spot were Leighton Woodside after they lost their season's unbeaten away ways by losing 3-1 at Harlington Juniors Reserves who are now only goal difference behind them in the table standings. Edward Prior with a brace and James Lovett the Juniors goalscorers against a lone reply from Ricardo Santos. The biggest away win of the day went to Marston Shelton Rovers Reserves with a 5-0 victory at M&DH Clapham Sports Reserves with goals from Peter Kerr, George Rogers, Carl Borremeo, Joel Batson and Luke Clifford. For sixth place CS Rovers it was win number five on the bounce 4-1 at Flitwick Town A who were duly losing their season's 100% home record. Daniel Bhatti netting three times and Ben Rodgers once for the Rovers against a lone Town reply from George Roach.Whilst taking their winning away ways to three games were Kempston Athletic in winning 4-1 at Meltis Rangers. Kristan Marciano with a brace and single goals from Hayden Bartram and Lance Jeffers only being replied to once by Ellis Sharp for the Rangers. Sandy Reserves are now without a win in their last four outings after going down 2-4 at home to Caldecote U23's. Jamie Walker, Owen Hurst, Josh Staynor and Ollie Plews marking the Caldecote scoresheet against a lone reply from Jack Scott for the home side.. Whilst Bedford Wanderers returned to winning ways with a 5-0 home win over Catsbrook Wanderers. Luke Foster with a brace and single goals from Connor Strong, Melvin Whalley and Kane Dore bringing up the nap hand. |
