Sporting Carpathians claim the upset of the day in the Beds FA Junior Cup. |
Premier Division supported by Sportsform In retaining their seasons 100% away ways Elstow Abbey with a 6-0 victory at Wilstead returned to the top of the Premier Division supported by Sportsform league standings. Steve Gentle netting twice alongside single goals from Glenn Tumulty, Scott Joseph, Wesley Lewis and Robert D'Altilla. Losing out on that top spot were AFC Oakley, having on Friday morning had their original home fixture against Caldecote postponed due to covid 19 issues at Caldecote they quickly arranged to host Biggleswde FC Reserves who likewise had their original fixture at home to Shefford Town & Campton Reserves postponed due to Covid 19 issues at Shefford and perhaps wished they hadn't when getting beat 3-2 to lose their seasons 100% home record. Harry Roberts, Jack Dreyer and Kian Coles netting for the visitors against home replies via Harry Gray and Nathan Aulsberry. Now up into third place are Matston Shelton Rovers who claimed their fifth win on the bounce 4-2 at Biggleswade United U23. Adam Tilson with a brace plus single strikes from Nick Skolsky and Harry Baker doing the damage against United replies via Will Robinson and Alfie Cooper. Whilst just goal difference behind them in fourth spot are Flitwick Town who with a brace of goals from Cam Lewis ran out 2-0 home winners over Bedford Albion to remain 100% on home soil this season. Slipping down the table from third into fifth spot were Cranfield United who lost their seasons 100% home record when beaten 1-2 by a Stevington side winning for the first time on the road this season. Antonio Mirti and George Pinney on their scoresheet against a lone home reply via Courtney Boughton. Making up the top six are Queens Park Crecents who thanks to goals from Mason Watkins-Clarke and Ismail Rakhman were 2-0 home winners over Crawley Green Reserves. Elsewhere, picking up their first away points of the season were Riseley Sports who just needed a single goal from Sam Harrison to win 1-0 at AFC Kempston Town & Bedford College. Division One A Lea Sports PSG are now only goal difference ahead of Eaton Park Rangers after the Rangers retained their seasons 100% away record to end the league leaders five game winning run and 100% home record with a 3-1 victory. Sam Pritchard, Dom Smith and Reece Beavis on the Rangers scoresheet against a lone home reply via Milton Tomlinson-Brown. Whilst just two points behind them and with a game in hand are Arlesey Town U23 who retained their season 100% away record in winning 6-2 at AFC Kempston Town & Bedford College Reserves who were losing their fifth game on the bounce. Luke Revells leading the way with a hat-trick, Archie Sayer netting twice plus an own goal doing the damage against home replies via an own goal and Matthew Capener. For fourth place St Joseph (Saturday) it was a return to winning ways with a 4-1 home victory over Kempston Athletic. Aaran Jarvis with a hat-trick plus a goal from Simon Richards only being replied to once by Dan Mattin for the visitors. Whilst fifth place Stotfold Development had their game at Totternhoe Reserves postponed due to Covid 19 issues at the host club. Elsewhere, retaining their seasons 100% home ways were Ickwell & Old Warden in beating Wilstead Reserves 6-2. Fraser Obli with a brace joined on the home scoresheet by single goals from Tommy Faitrbrass, Jaden Ford, James Bright and James Presland. Whilst also enjoying life on home soil were Langford Reserves with a 8-1 victory over Houghton Athletic who are still in search of their first win of the season.Robert Wilcock netting four times, Luke Smith twice plus single goals coming from Rich Marvell and Josh Cranwell against a lone Athletic reply via Olu Amadi. Division One B Their is no change at the head of the Division One B standings following wins for the top two clubs. League leaders Sharnbrook retaining their 100% seasons home record with a 6-0 victory over Bedford SA who were duly losing their seasons unbeaten away ways. Josh Griggs with a brace joined on the home scoresheet by single goals from Harry Chinn, Owen Franklin, Alec Horn and Bradley Raines. Whilst still just goal difference behind are Henlow who are still 100% on the road this season after winning 3-2 at Pines (Luton) Cameron Care, Alex Toye and Luke Hills all finding the back of the net against a home brace in reply from Sean Sheridan. Now in third spot are Stopsley United who are still 100% on home soil this season after beating AFC Oakley Reserves 4-1. Callum Frater netting a brace and single goals coming from Ryan Smith and Sam Willett against a lone reply from Joe Holmes for the visitors. Just goal difference behind in fourth spot are Ampthill Town Development the 6-0 home winners over Cranfield United Reserves. Charan Basra netting twice to go alongside single goals from Connor Saunders, Josh Arthur- Kent, Rhys Pearson and Jack Fuller. Fifth spot Flitwick Town Reserves having their game postponed due to covid 19 issues at Pitstone & Ivinghoe United Reserves. Whilst returning to winning ways for the first time in five outings were Sporting Lewsey Park who were 5-0 home winners over The 61 FC Luton Reserves. Chris Gibson netting twice and single goals from Luke Lincoln, Lee Mooney and Owen Hearty bringing up the nap hand and now see them up into seventh place in the standings. Division Two supported by Hy-Pro In retaining their seasons 100% away ways Clifton sit third in the league standings following their 2-0 win at Atletico Europa thanks to goals from George Denman and James Fallart. Whilst Real Haynes moved up into fifth spot after retaining their seasons 100% away ways in winning 3-1 at Bedford Albion Reserves who were duly losing their 100% seasons home ways. Aaron Lumsden, Geoge Hackett plus an own goal marking their scoresheet against a lone home reply from Charlie Norman. Division Three supported by Hy-Pro Shefford Town & Campton A are now up to second spot in the standings after a lone goal from Lewis Ambrose took them to a 1-0 victory at Sundon Park Development who still await their first point/points of the season. Whilst just goal difference behind them in third spot are FC Polonia (Luton) the 2-0 home winners over Lea Sports PSG Reserves who still await their first away point/points of the season. Mateusz Antonium netting both goals. Elsewhere, Luton Allstars took their winning home ways up to three games with a 5-1 victory over Luton Leagrave AFC. Troy Ottah shooting them ahead in the 25th minute before Hartley Coleman levelled matters for the away side just a minute prior to the break. The Allstars pulling clear in the second period with goals from Kudzai Sitambi ( 54 mintues) L'Shiah Agua ( 61 minutes ) before their fourth came via an own goal from AFC's Richard Mead in the 73rd minute whose afternoon got even worse 11 minutes later when he was red carded, then just 60 seconds from time Rueben Dawu brought up the nap hand to complete the scoring. Division Four With Sporting Carpathians away on Beds FA Cup duty Sharnbrook Reserves took full advantage to climb to the top of the league standing with a 2-1 victory at Bedford Santos to retain their seasons 100% record. Scott Humphreys and Kevin Evans on their scoresheet against a home reply vis Bruno Santos. Whilst third place Blunham saw their four game winning run come to an end when beaten 5-1 at Shefford Town & Campton B. Ash Boness leading the way with a hat-trick plus single goals from Dan Butler and Charlie Robinsin bringing up the nap hand against a lone reply from Blunham's Robbie Richmond. Now in fourth spot are Elstow Abbey Reserves who remain 100% on home soil for the season after a 5-0 win over Kempston Rovers who still await their first win of the season. Antony Sammut leading the way with a hat-trick plus single goals coming from Tom Watts and Ollie Pearson. Whilst in fifth spot are M&DH Clapham Sports who retained their seasons unbeaten away ways in winning 5-3 at Catsbrook Wanderers who were losing their fifth game on the bounce. Jacob Taylor and Owen Tuffin both netting twice and Dan Beddow once against home replies via Ross Milligan, Jack McLaughlan and Alec McQuarrie. Elsewhere, also going nap were Bedford Albion A who collected their first home points of the season in beating Revivalists 5-1. Shane Canzano with a brace plus single goals from Harry Clark, Errol Cornwell and Dan Litchfield doing the damage against a lone rely from Harrols Stevens for the visitors who still await their first away point/points of the season. Bedfordshire FA Junior Cup third Round The result of the round was to go the way of Division Four Sporting Carpathians with a 5-1 home victory over Division Two Renhold United. Petru Ciochina netting a brace to go alongside single goals from Brandon Brown, Andrian Luncasu and Marcel Buruiana against a lone United reply from Oilver Housden. Whilst Division Three AFC Bedford United emerged the 5-4 penalty shoot-out winners at Division Two Crawley Green U23 after 90 minutes play had seen the sides deadlocked at 4-4. Ethan McEvoy netting twice and single goals for Oliver Brennan and James Younger marking the home scoresheet against United replies from Jack Randall with a brace plus single goals for Jesse Van Agen and Aaran Nelson. There were two all Division Two clashes in which goals from Tayler Kilcoyne and Michael Rawlins took Wootton Blue Cross to a 2-1 victory at Caldecote Reserves for whom Martin Chappell netted. Whilst Marston Shelton Rovers Reserves were the 2-0 home winners over Sundon Park Rangers thanks to goals from Dale Malciw and Carl Borromeo . In the two all Division Three ties, Flitwick Town A went nap with a 5-2 home win over Real Haynes Reserves. Jamie Warne netting four times and Curties O'Connell once against a brace in reply from Tyler Winter. Whilst St Johns (Luton) won 4-0 at Square FC. Mohammed Elbayan on the scoresheet twice alongside single goals from Jermain Griffiths and Pearce Tracey. Elsewhere, Division Two Harlington Juniors netted a 4-2 home win over Brickhill Wanderers. Josh Black netting twice alongside single goals from Tyler Ingham and Callum McKay against Wanderers replies via Kyle Lewis and Stephen Champion. Plus Division Two Lancot Park won 5-2 at Division Three Sandy.
