Stotfold Development & Wootton Blue Cross Reserves claim their respective league titles. |
Premier Division supported by Sportsform Elstow Abbey were to lose their place at the head of the Premier Division supported by Sportsform standing after being held to a 3-3 draw at third place Biggleswade FC Reserves. Glenn Tumulty, Craig Damon and Sheldon Washington on the Abbey scoresheet to take their unbeaten away ways up to seven games against FC replies from Oscar Smith, Moussa Jamal and Chris Richardson who remain five points adrift of the Abbey but having played four games fewer and just seven points behind the new league leaders Sharnbrook again having played two games fewer after Sharnbook required just a 40th minute goal from James Barron to notch up their sixth away win on the bounce and extend their unbeaten ways to 10 games in winning 1-0 at Cranfield United who went into the game in search of their seventh home win on the bounce. However lurking behind these three top clubs and sitting in fourth place with games in hand of them all are Crawley Green Reserves who took their unbeaten ways up to 18 games with a 6-1 home victory over Biggleswade United U23's. Timmy Akerele and Rashaun Rattigan both netting twice alongside single goals via Reece Green and George Onwusonye against a lone United reply from Lewis Digweed. For sixth place Caldecote it was a 3-2 victory at Flitwick Town who are now on a seven game losing run. Giuseppe Falano with a brace and a goal from Dan Fennel doing the damage against Town replies from Phil Matthews and Martin Byrne. Whilst Queens Park Crescents took their winning ways up to four games with a 2-1 home win over AFC Kempston Town & Bedford College. Ciaran McEvoy and Nnaji Chibuzor netting the goals against a Town reply from Tim Clarke. Elsewhere, Riseley Sports returned to winning ways in their quest to beat the drop with a 3-1 home victory over Shefford Town & Campton Reserves who were falling to their seventh away defeat on the bounce. Alex Taylor with a brace plus a goal from Liam Bolton marking the Sports scoresheet against a Town reply from Cameron Ward. Whilst Stevington were gifted the three points when Marston Shelton Rovers failed to raise a side to host them at Bedford Road. Division One Despite being held to a 2-2 home draw by Barton Rovers Reserves, Stotfold Development duly claimed the 2021-22 season Division One title. Dominik Robertson and James Hannan on their scoresheet against Rovers replies via Tyler Ingham and Josiah Ramsey. The biggest score of the day going to Cranfield United Reserves who returned to winning ways for the first time in five outings with a 10-1 home win over Wilstead. Martin Holland netting five times, Alexander Maxwell netting a brace alongside single goals from Colin Merritt, Ryan Phelps and Mickey O'Farrell against a lone reply from Callum Riches for the visitors. Elsewhere, St Josephs ( Saturday) lost for the first time in six outings when beaten 3-2 at home by a Henlow side gaining their third straight away victory thanks to a brace from Luke Hills and a single goal from Charlie Marshall the home replies coming from Paddy Northern and Aaron Jarvis. Centenary Cup Semi-Final Lea Sports PSG will now face a final tie against either Flitwick Town Reserves or Cranfield United Reserves after running out 4-1 away winners at Sporting Lewsey Park. Sean Dixon netting twice alongside single goals from Joe Hennem and James Haughney against a lone home reply from Chris Gibson. Division Two supported by Hy-Pro Clifton remain three points clear at the head of the Division Two supported by Hy-Pro standings after winning 3-2 at Soccerlise. Ali Moatt, Josh Adams and Cameron Godfrey netting the goals against home replies via Sylwester Klaskas and Andy Barker. Whilst second place Wootton Blue Cross are now unbeaten in their last 10 starts following their 3-1 home win over Bedford SA. Joe Bygraves, Mason Smith and Ben Holmes all finding the back of the net against a lone reply from Ollie Raymond. Elsewhere, third place AFC Oakley Reserves retained their season's unbeaten home ways in beating Stopsley United 2-1 with goals from Josh Moran and Joe Reeves against a United reply from Ethan Smith. Whilst fourth place Renhold were 5-1 home winners over Brache Phoenix. Liam Newton with a brace and single goals from Neville Allen, Dan Thomas and Roshan Chagger bringing up the nap hand against a lone Phoenix reply from Masum Ahmed. For bottom of the table AFC Kempston Town & Bedford College Reserves it was a first home win of the season 2-1 over a 61FC Luton Reserves side who sit just a single point ahead of them in the standings having played four more games. Patrick Worth and Kian Morey netting for the Town and Leroy White for the 61. Whilst FC Haynes ran out 3-0 winners at AFC Bedford United, Sam Kelly netting twice and Scott Fruscante once. Division Three supported by Hy-Pro Wootton Blue Cross Reserves were crowned the 2021-22 season Division Three champions after gaining their 16th win on the bounce 6-2 away at FC Haynes Reserves. Ryan Smith with a brace plus single goals from Callum Frater, Sam Willett, Pat Daley and Adam Woodley doing the damage against home replies via Michael Bates and Harry Mabbitt. Whilst second place Sporting Carpathians were the 3-1 winners at Atletico Europa who have now lost their last eight outings. Tau Roberts netting twice and Jamie Nolan once against a lone Europa reply from Aaron Romain. Also enjoying life on the road were third place Sharmbrook Reserves the 1-0 winners at Sandy with a goal from Charlie Hurley. Whilst Wootton Blue Cross U23's were gifted the three points after CS Rovers failed to raise a side too travel to meet them. Division Four Lea Sports PSG Reserves were to drop from top spot into- third place after their season's 100% home record was ended by M&DH Clapham Sports who took over the top spot with a 2-0 win with a brace of goals from Louie Lee. Whilst Kempston Rovers are now second following their home victory over Square FC. Benjamin Wazabanga netting twice alongside single goals for Fabien Cataldo, Martell Brome, Junior Mulubi, Blaise Powell, Taylor Kilcoyne and Tyrell O'Connor against Rovers replies via Khahil Patrick and Olly Hibbitt. For the fifth time this season Bedford Santos failed to raise a side, gifting this time three points to intended visitors Blunham. Division Five With league leaders Wootton Blue Cross Under23's sitting the afternoon out, second place Sporting Carpathians Reserves moved to within two points of them when they retained their season's 100% home record with a 1-0 home win over Revivalists. Mihail Tudos netting the vital goal from the penalty spot. Whilst third place Newman United remain very much in the title race by winning 7-1 at bottom of the table M&DH Clapham Reserves. Sam Woodman and Igor Zieba both netting twice alongside single goals from Ryan Moynihan, Sean McMonagle and Krzystof Chwesiak against a lone home reply from Phil Kempsell. Also in that championship hunt are Clifton Reserves who with goals from Khaled Phillips and Sam Oakins were 2-1 winners at Woodside Adult. Watson Shield Round One Elstow Abbey Reserves will now face a last eight tie at Sporting Carpathians after winning 4-2 at Harlington Juniors Reserves. Bradley Duffet leading the way with a hat-trick alongside a single goal from Brandon Hung against home replies via Dean Johnson and Ben Dashwood. |
