Just five games on the 3G survive the weather. |
Premier Division supported by Sportsform The only game to beat the frost came on the 3G at Stratton School and saw visitors Shefford Town & Campton Reserves take their winning ways up to three games and duly climb out of the relegation zone at the expense of their hosts Biggleswade FC. It was the FC who took the lead just five minutes into the contest via an own goal from Gabriel Bhinder if you wish to be cruel or via the home side's Nathan Chidi if you accept that the last person to send the ball goalwards is not always necessarily the goalscorer. This goal was then cancelled out nineteen minutes later by Town's Ashley Heley and that's the way it stayed until three minutes into time added on when up popped Heley again to head home the Town's winner. Division Two South In winning 6-1 at Luton Panthers to extend their winning ways to five games it's a journey to the head of the league standings for New Bradwell St Peter Development. Luke Burrows with a hat-trick led the way and was joined on their scoresheet by single goals from Charlie Fisher, Sonny Foulkes and Zak Dowse. The lone reply came via Ryan Spencer from the penalty spot. Whilst elsewhere Flitwick Town Reserves drew 2-2 at home against Caddinton. Thomas Barnett and Phil Matthews on the Town scoresheet with Max Cooper and Mark Reilly replying for the visitors. Watson Shield 1st Round Just the one game to report upon saw Wootton Blue Cross A progress into round two with a 4-2 home victory over Bedfordshire Saturday Youth League side Cranfield Colts U18 Cobras. Joshua Buckle and Alfie Young with braces each doing the damage and Alesio Cerrone from the penalty spot and Sonny Chambers replying for the visitors. |
