Bedfordshire County Football League

At last evenings Annual General Meeting the provisional formation of divisions was presented to the clubs with the season 2021-22 line up showing a set up of six divisions and clubs informed should they wish to have their divisional placement reconisdered this needs to be done within the next seven days before the final formation is agreed at that time. Fixtures for the season will be pubished on August 7th 2021 ahead of the season starting on Saturday 4th September 2021.

On the off the field scene League President Terry Sadler is stepping down after 23years in the post to become a Life Vice President and to be replaced by Barry Watson who is moving from the Chairmans post to become the League President in this his 39th season of service to the league. Taking up the Chairmans post will be Peter Francis who in turn will be replaced in the Vice Chairmans post by Roland Simmonds. The meeting also electing Gary Sales onto the league committee for the first time.

The Bedfordshire County Football League will kick off the 2021-22 season will some 82 teams an increase of 4 teams from season 2020-21.

The new names in the 2021-22 being. Potton United Reserves. Bedford Town Youth Development. Barton Rovers Reserves. Luton Panthers. Brache Pheonix. Newman United. Woodside FC. Clifton Reserves. Harlington Juniors Reserves. M&DH Clapham Sports Reserves. Sporting Carpathains Reserves and Wootton Blue Cross Reserves.

Whilst withdrawals during the close season have been received and accepted from Ampthill Town Development. Langford Reserves. Pines (Luton) Houghton Athletic. Luton Leagrave AFC. Luton Allstars, Sundon Park Develpoment and Eaton Park Rangers.

Still with the league but with a name change are Kempston Athletic who are now KA Great Barford and Real Haynes who are now FC Haynes.

A provisional formation of Divisions for the new season will be available to all member clubs within the next 48 hours and become public following the leagues Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 7th July 2021.

Caldecote FC are looking to appoint a new management team who will be in charge of the 1st team. Candidates should have connections with local football & preferably have experience of managing in the Beds County Premier Division or Division One.

They will also need to work closely with the current reserve team & Youth team managers.
