The race for the 2021-22 season Premier Division supported by Sportsform title remains very much a three way contest following this evening's games. For current league leaders Sharnbrook it was the requirement of having to come from behind to claim a 2-1 home victory over Crawley Green Reserves to take them 11 points clear of the Green in the standings who have played four games fewer. The first real opening chace of the game fell to the home side some 15 minutes when awarded a penalty, however Green goalkeeper Daniel Lydiatt beat way the effort of home captain Harry Chinn to keep the scoreline blank. Within five minutes The Green were ahead with a strike from Timmy Akerele and that's the way the scoreline stayed in the opening period. Sharnbrook going the closest to a leveller just 10 minutes from the break when Joe Ackroyd sent an effort against the post then from the rebound slamming his second chance against the crossbar.

Second period action saw the home side continue to press forward knowing only the full three points would keep their title hopes alive. However, goalkeeper Lydiatt was having a night to remember first keeping out a long range effort from Brandon Shoosmith on the hour mark then five minutes later saving well from a Tom O'Neill close range header. Just when it looked like the Green would hold onto their 20 game unbeaten run the tide turned when in the 78th minute Harry Chinn made up for his earlier penalty miss to level matters up at 1-1 and title race back on before in the 83th minute up popped Tom O'Neill to head the home side ahead and send the 100 plus home crowd into rapturous. Try has they did The Green could not find a response and thus ended their wonderful unbeaten run which stretched back to Mid-September 2021 when they were beaten away at Queens Park Crescents and took the home sides unbeaten ways up to 13 games.

The third side still very much in the title race are second place Biggleswade FC Reserves who remain seven points adift of Sharnbrook but having played two games fewer and four points ahead of The Green having played two games more following their 5-3 home victory over AFC Oakley. Josh Roberts with a brace plus single goals from Joe Worboys, Daniel Bond and Oscar Smith bringing up the nap hand against replies via Billy Cook, Oladeji-afun Ogidan and Ewen McCraken. Also going nap were Flitwick Town in winning 5-0 at Marston Shelton Rovers, their first victory in nine outings to send the Rovers to their fifth defeat on the bounce. Dylan Gittens and Phil Matthews both netting twice and Cameron Lewis once.

Down at the bottom end of the standings there was a much wanted point for Riseley Sports from a 3-3 draw with a Queens Park Crescents side who had won their previous four outings. Ciaran McEvoy twice and Mohammed Ahmed netting for the Crescents against Sports replies via a brace from James Jermyn and a single goal from Aaron Keech. There was also three most welcomed points for Shefford Town & Campton Reserves with a 3-1 home win over Caldecote. Harry Lovely netting twice and Telmo Dos Santos once against a lone reply from the visitors Tashriq Andrews.

Elsewhere, Cranfield United returned to winning ways with a 2-0 home victory over AFC Kempston Town & Bedford College thanks to a brace of goals from Courtney Boughton.

The lone Division One action of the evening saw Barton Rovers Reserves move up into third place with an 8-0 home victory over second from bottom of the table Flitwick Town Reserves who have now lost all 10 of their season's away games. Aaron Fulton leading the way with four goals plus braces being delivered by Jamie Small and Pat Lawrence.

For Division One side Potton United Reserves it was the heartache of a penalty shoot-out lose in the final of this seasons Bedfordshire FA Intermediate Cup Final against AFC Dunstable Development after 90 minutes play had seen the sides all square at 1-1. Chris Bacchus netting the United goal.

Division Two supported by Hy-Pro action saw Renhold extend their unbeaten ways up to five games and move up into third place in the standings with a 3-0 victory at FC Haynes. Ben Brown, Roshan Chagger and Dean Warren all finding the back of the net.

Division Five action saw Sporting Carpathians Reserves climb to the head of the league table and maintain their season's 100% home record in beating Clifton Reserves 5-2. Troy Ottah netting twice alongside single goals from Franklin Ojumobi, Perez Mukisa and Ben Wiles to bring up the nap hand against replies from Josh Adams and Elliot Powell.

Elsewhere, AFC Kempston Town & Bedford College Reserves earned themselves a place in the final of this season's East Beds Charity Cup with a 3-2 Semi-final win over Soccerlise. Taking the lead in the 15th minute via Luke Platts they were then to go 1-2 down when John Turner (43th minute) and Brett Leader (50th minute) netted for Soccerlise before late goals from Jake Duxbury (82nd minute) and Brendan Pettit (88th minute) won them the tie and a meeting with Henlow a week on Friday at Forde Park Langford.

Premier Division supported by Sportsform action saw two of the leading title contenders Biggleswade FC Reserves and Crawley Green Reserves play out a 1-1 draw. Oscar Smith shooting the home side ahead in the 4th minute before a Timmy Akerele header on the hour mark levelled matters out to extend his sides unbeaten ways up to 20 games ahead of their trip to league leaders Sharnbrook on Wednesday evening who they currently trail by eight points but having played four games fewer.

Division One action saw Barton Rovers Reserves extend their unbeaten ways to four games with a 5-0 home victory over Wilstead. Aaron Fulton and Josiah Ramsey both netting twice and Jamie Small once to bring up the nap hand.
