Away teams enjoy the better of starts on opening day of the 2019-20 season.
Premier Division supported by Sportsform

The 2019-20 Premier Division supported by Sportsform season kicked off with a programme of six fixtures producing four away wins and two draws. Leading the way were Caldecote who went nap in winning 5-0 at Wootton Blue Cross with strikes from Liam Beech, Luke Gurney, Jack Miller, Jordan Goodman and Jake Bruce but the highest scorers were Riseley Sports who emerged the 6-4 victors at AFC Kempston Town & Bedford College. Lewis Donald with a brace being joined on the Sports scoresheet by single goals from Aaron Keech, Jordan Harris, Jay Willett and James Jermyn against Town replies via Tom Vandenberg, Johnny Richens, Dan Church from the penalty spot plus an own goal.

Also enjoying life on the road were Flitwick Town who with a penalty from Phil Matthews won 1-0 at Shefford Town & Campton Reserves whilst goals from Matt Barnes and Hail Wood took AFC Oakley to a 2-0 victory at Biggleswade FC Reserves.

Finishing all square was the 0-0 draw at Cranfield United where Stevington were the visitors and the 1-1 draw at Bedford Albion where Biggleswade Under 23's were the visitors, Josh Emmerton netting for the Albion and Milo Keane replying for United.

Marston Shelton Rovers dreams of a trip to Wembley next spring were to be shattered at the first hurdle with a 5-1 defeat at Hanworth Villa where Peter Kerr netted their lone goal.

Division One

The stand out result saw league newcomers Eynesbury Rovers Reserves win 8-0 at The 61 FC Luton Reserves. Lee Bassett, Robert Gooch and Ryan Vale all netting braces to go alongside single goals for Alfie Simms and Aaran Rymer. Just two goals behind them were Cranfield Uniited Reserves who won 6-0 at AFC Kempston Town & Bedford College Reserves. Callum Riches leading the way with a hat-trick, Jordan Conway netting twice and Martin Holland once.

For newly promoted Elstow Abbey it was a 4-0 victory at league newcomers Ampthill Town Development. Sheldon Washington with a brace joined on the Abbey scoresheet bu single goals from Kaylen Wilson and Glenn Tumulty. Whilst a lone goal from Charlie Willison was enough to take Henlow to a 1-0 win at Houghton Athletic.

Enjoying life on home soil were Sporting Lewsey Park who with goals from Shaun Fahy, Scott Murchie and Owen Hearty beat Flitwick Town Reserves 3-1 and winning by the same scoreline were Totternhoe Reserves over Wilstead Reserves. Joe Dixon, Darren Worrall and Archie Taylor netting the goals against a lone visitors reply via Tom Stonehouse.

The third home win of the day seeing a lone goal from Thomas Andrews be enough to take Bedford SA to the three points with a 1-0 win over Kempston Athletic.

Division Two supported by Hy-Pro

The highest score of the day belonged to league newcomers Eaton Park Rangers who emerged the 5-2 home winners over Sandy. Razvan Trandafil leading the way with a hat-trick and joined on their scoresheet by single strikes from David Watts and Andrew Gosnell against a brace in reply from Conor Green. Also enjoying a winning home start were CS Rovers who with goals from Connor Hasson and Joe Lydon saw off Luton Leagrave AFC 2-0.

The only stalemate of the afternoon seeing Caldcote Reserves and Renhold share the points in a 2-2 draw. Sam Julian and Adam Legate on the home scoesheet whilst Keiran Langley and Justin Patterson netted for the visitors.

Elsewhere the other three games were all to go the way of the visitors. Newly promoted Pines (Luton) winning 4-1 at Atletico Europa thanks to goals from Ryan Smith, Ben Harris, Niall Lawson and Tom McMahon against a lone home reply via Faysel Branhu. Whilst fellow newly promoted Sharnbrook won by the same scoreline at Marston Shelton Rovers Reserves. James Watkinson with a brace joined on their scoresheet by James Millard and Ethan Potts against a lone Rovers reply via Lorenzo Jordan.

The third away winners being AFC Oakley Reserves who won 4-2 at Clifton. Dean Leydon, Glanluca Testa, Charlie Carvell and Michael Smith their goalscorers against home replies via Charlie Watson and Jim Taylor.

Division Three supported by Hy-Pro

Unlike in the three division above there was no away winners to be found. Yet league newcomers Lancot Park will feel happy about sharing the spoils in a 1-1 draw at Shefford Town & Campton A. Steve Gibbons netting for the Town and Peter Wilson replying for the Park. Whilst FC Polina (Luton) also shared the points from a 3-3 draw at Wixams Wanderers. Tomasz Marczewski, Milosz Harchut and Przemek Gorczyca seeing their goals cancelled out by home replies via Elliot Leadbetter, Kiren Crick and Michael France.

For league newcomers Luton Allstars it was a 2-1 home victory over Lidlington United Sports. Nathan Gouldbourne and Dereck Manuna on their scoresheet against a United penalty in reply via Jamie Rudd. Whilst Harlington Juniors were the 4-2 home victors over Wootton Village. Luke Jeffery with a brace plus goals fron Luke Williams and Joe Cullen only being replied to by Michael Frezza and Josh Cox for the Village.

Division Four

There was constrasting starts for two of the divisions newcomers when in Jubilee Park hosts Revivalists were beaten 8-1 by the visiting Kempston Rovers. Lorenzo Filip helping himself to five goals and single strikes coming from Kian Morey, Coman Eugen and Stefan Piplica against a lone reply from Aaran Wandji. Whilst fellow newcomers Brickhill Wanderers enjoyed a 3-2 home victory over Sandy Reserves despite visiting goals coming from Tony Norman and Simon Brown.

For Bedford Albion A it was a winning start with a 3-1 home win over White Eagles. Jimmy Jacob , Antony Foreman and Brad Duffet on their scoresheet against a lone Eagles reply via Arkadiusz Szczebanski. Yet for Bedford Santos their life in the BCFL begun with a 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Square FC. Connor Taylor netting both of the visitors goals against a lone reply via Connor Buckland for the hosts.
