Snippets from last night's Annual General Meeting.
Due to as many as 14 clubs still not fully registered with the league/Beds FA for season 2013-14 the formation of divisions will be delayed until 1st July 2013. Any club not fully compliant by that date will have deemed to have resigned from the league.However, the Premier Division is expected to have 16 clubs, Division One 15 clubs and the lower divisions around 14 each. These will include the late acceptance of Mid Beds Tigers who will play their home games at Sandye Place School. The league will commence season 2013-14 on Saturday 31st August 2013.Fixture list available from Mid-July.

Retiring Registration Secretary John Warner was elected a Life Vice President of the league to reflect his services to the league.

The Premier Division supported by Sportsform Assistant Referee’s award was shared between Peter Hammocks of Caldecote FC and Ickwell & Old Warden’s John Vallom.

The Second Bedfordshire County Football League Hop will take place on Saturday 5th October 2013.Games to be announced once the Bedfordshire FA Senior Trophy draw is made in Mid-July.

Caldecote lift record breaking ninth league title.
Premier Division supported by Sportsform

At Harvey Close, Caldecote duly beat their near neighbours Ickwell & Old Warden 3-2 to collect a record breaking ninth top flight championship title thus surpassing the eight titles collected by Queens Athletic between season 1973-74 and 1983-84. Ahead via a strike from Barry Dellar in the 22nd minute they then allowed Lee Threadgold to level matters just two minutes later before the game was won with goals a minute either side of the hour mark, Dellar heading them back in front before Jack Boyd shot home goal number three. Dean Hamilton reducing the arrears for the visitors just a minute from time.

Thus Oakley Sports M&DH had to settle for the silver medals despite ending their season with a 2-1 home win over AFC Biggleswade.It was the visitors via Jose Murray who took the lead until first Chris Thorman levelled matters before the break and then Shaun Barnett netted the second half winner.

For third place Renhold United, it was the taking of their unbeaten home ways to six games with a 7-1 win over a Wilshamstead side losing for the first time in 10 outings... More
